Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell

Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell

Stonehenge is perhaps a little slower than most of Cornwell’s books but still fascinating and compelling. Historians apparently know a lot about the stages of Stonehenge’s construction but next to nothing about the people who built it so this is a work of speculative fiction that hews closely to what is known about this period. Cornwell is a master of engineering conflict and suspense and this book does not disappoint on these fronts.
